I forgot one thing...

I don't do running!!!!

I've mocked runners in the street before now, wondering what on earth they were doing out, pounding the streets, when they could be snuggled up at home in front of the tele, or having a laugh with their mates. And what about those marathon runners?!?!? 26.2 miles!!! Are they having a laugh?? I (currently) am still firmly of the view that there is never a need to run that far, what are they playing at? GET A TAXI!!!!

I won't even run for the bus, in case I miss it and then look like a complete edjit

The only reason to run, is if there is a big dog chasing you!

Yet, here I am, pysching myself up to start running. The last one of the three of us to start her training and slightly concerned, scared even, about what I'm about to face.

Of course, I have a training schedule which looks completely doable ....and of course, I'm currenly on the sofa eating a bag of maltesers (from here climbing everest looks doable...woolly hat, pair of gloves and good boots, what more could you need? Right?!).

So, here I am. It's all set. Friday, after work. I'm about to take the plunge....
